UTA’s Midtown Trolley, route 628, is a convenient way to reach entertainment centers, shopping, restaurants, hotels and more. This route runs through Layton and Clearfield and connects riders to Layton and Clearfield FrontRunner stations and community amenities. The route is generously sponsored by local businesses and is free to riders. In 2017, the regular UTA buses currently in use will be replaced with unique trolley-style buses to add extra character to the Midtown Trolley route.

Entertainment

The Midtown Trolley connects riders to movie theaters, restaurants and entertainment centers like the new SeaQuest Aquarium, an interactive experience that allows visitors to pet stringrays, feed birds and lizards and interact with sharks. Route 628 also provides access to Dartside, an indoor dart tag arena with activities for the entire family.

Shopping

Ride the Midtown Trolley to connect to the more than 80 stores at the Layton Hills Mall, or browse locally owned shops along Main Street in Layton. Use the Midtown Trolley to finish your holiday shopping at stores along Woodland Park Drive, like Barnes & Noble and Target.

Hotels and Medical Centers

Route 628 is a great way for out-of-towners to connect from FrontRunner to Layton hotels and the Davis Conference Center. The route also provides convenient access to the Davis Hospital and Medical Center.
