UTA provides access to dozens of urban trails across the Wasatch Front. With more sunny spring weather on the way, this is the perfect time to grab your hiking shoes or your bike and ride UTA to a trail near you. We’ve listed three of our favorites below.

Parley’s Trail

The S-Line provides convenient access to the Parley’s Trail system. Exit at one of the line’s seven stops, then run or bike alongside the rails using the line’s pedestrian greenway. The S-Line ends at Fairmont Park, but you can pick up Parley’s Trail again to the east as it winds its way through Salt Lake’s Hidden Hollow nature area, The Draw underground tunnel and Sugar House Park.

Jordan River Parkway

The Jordan River Parkway runs parallel to the Jordan River for almost 40 miles. Salt Lake County hikers and bikers can access the trail from River Trail Station on the Green Line. Bus routes 509 and 513 also provide convenient access to Jordan Park and the Jordan River Parkway. (You can also use these routes to access the 9 Line, a paved path that runs from 700 West to Redwood Road in Salt Lake City.) The southern portion of the Jordan River Parkway can be accessed via Thanksgiving Point Trailhead, just a 15-minute walk from Lehi FrontRunner Station.

Legacy Parkway Trail

The longest paved trail in Davis County starts at Farmington FrontRunner Station and ends 14 miles to the south at 2100 North in North Salt Lake. Look for easy trail access just north of Farmington Station’s bus roundabout.
