The UTA Rider’s License is back by popular demand! This summer youth pass is valid on FrontRunner, TRAX, S-Line and local buses from June 1 through Aug. 31, 2017. The pass can be used by kids and teens ages 6 to 18. You can purchase a pass for just $75 online here starting Monday, May 1.  Passes will be available to purchase at UTA customer service locations and retail pass outlets starting May 15. Don’t delay – Rider’s License passes increase to $99 after June 15.

If you’re between the ages of 6 and 18, you could win a free Rider’s License. To enter, send us your best UTA art. This could be a painting, drawing or photo of any of our UTA vehicles or facilities. 2017 Utah Transit Authority Children’s Art Official Contest Rules

The Utah Transit Authority (“UTA”) is hosting an art contest for children age 6 through 18 to promote the use of public transportation (“Contest”).  The following official rules (“Rules”) govern the Contest.

Eligible Participants:  Children ages 6 – 18.

Art:  Art must be original, unpublished and portray a UTA service, vehicle, or facility.  Multiple entries allowed per participant.  Art may be created using any of the following: photography, marker, crayon, paint, pens, water color, ink, color pencils, and paint. Other mediums may be accepted. Any art displaying the names of products, companies, or organizations, other than UTA, will not be accepted.  Art will not be returned to Participants.  All art must include the Participant’s name, age, and a description of the art.  Art should be mailed to:  Children’s Art Contest, C/O UTA PR and Marketing Department, Social Media Desk, 669 West 200 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101 or email a photo of the art to utasocial@rideuta.com.

Contest Deadline:  Art must be received by UTA no later than Friday, May 19. 

Judging:  Art will be judged by the UTA Communications team on originality of design and visual impact of design. 

Art Release Waiver:  All art must be accompanied by a completed Art Release Waiver completed by the Participant’s parent or legal guardian if the Participant is under the age of eighteen or by the Participant if the Participant is eighteen years old. 

Prizes:  UTA will announce winners between May 1 and May 22, 2017.  Up to four winners will be selected. Winners will receive a UTA 2017 Rider’s License. Photos of the art and the winner’s first name and age will be posted on UTA’s website, blog, Facebook and Twitter pages. 

By submitting artwork for this contest, you have accepted all rules and requirements and understand that UTA has the right to use all submitted artwork in any future media, online, and print materials.  Entries not meeting the requirements described above will be disqualified.  The immediate family members of and/or individuals living in the same household as UTA officers, Board members, and employees are NOT eligible to enter this contest or win a prize.
