UTA is proposing using Prop 1 funds to increase service and add a FrontRunner connection to routes 626 and 627, which connect Davis County riders to the Weber State Davis Campus and the Davis Applied Technology Center. If approved, the two routes would serve the Clearfield FrontRunner Station, offer 30-minute peak service, run until 9 p.m. and operate hourly on Saturdays.

UTA Senior Service Planner Trevan Blaisdell said the proposed changes are a direct result of rider feedback.

“This is what we’ve been hearing from customer comments and from operators,” Blaisdell said. “[Increased service and a FrontRunner connection] are both things that people have been asking for on these routes for a long time.”

UTA is also proposing that routes 664 and 665 from the Layton FrontRunner Station to Hill Air Force Base be eliminated. Ridership on both routes has been low since the service started in 2014, Blaisdell said. Planners will be available at the public hearing to help existing riders find a possible vanpool or RideVan Plus solution that meets their needs.
