NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS UTAH TRANSIT AUTHORITY RE: Proposed Elimination of Midday and Evening Service on TRAX Route 703 Effective April 5, 2010 - Notice is hereby given for public hearings concerning the proposed elimination of midday and evening service on TRAX route 703 effective April 5, 2010. The proposed changes to the Route 703 are to eliminate the following midday and evening trips:

- The changes are being proposed due to budgetary constraints as a result of reduced sales tax revenues.
- Open House Format. Arrive any time during the public hearing hours to provide input.
Thursday, February 11 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Salt Lake Library, Main Branch,Conference Room A&B, 210 East 400 South, Salt Lake City.
Tuesday, February 16 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the UTA Mobility Center lobby, (4384 South 50 West, Murray - or use the Murray North TRAX stop - the Mobility Center is the gray and maroon building directly southeast of the parking lot - enter from the east side)
Wednesday, February 17 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at the Rice-Eccles Stadium Tower, 6th Floor Conference Room, 451 S 1400 E, Salt Lake City.
- At the hearing, the Utah Transit Authority will afford an opportunity for affected citizens, public officials, and interested agencies to comment on the proposed changes. To be included as part of the public hearing record, all comments must be postmarked no later than February 25, 2010.
- THE FORMAT FOR THE PUBLIC HEARINGS WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
- Open House to review and discuss proposal with UTA representatives (entire time)
- Public comment period (available any time during public hearing)
- To assure full participation at the hearing, accommodations for effective communication, such as sign language interpreters or printed materials in alternative formats, or a language interpreter for non-English speaking participants, must be requested at least five (5) working days prior to the date of the scheduled event. Requests for ADA accommodations should be directed to UTA ADA Compliance Officer at 801-287-3536 or dial 711 to make a relay call. - Relevant information about the proposed changes will be available at the public hearings or may be reviewed at the UTA office, 3600 South 700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah from January 27, 2010 until February 25, 2010. Comments must be postmarked or received by UTA no later than February 25, 2010 to be part of the public hearing record.
