November 1 Fare Changes

FrontRunner Base Fare

Effective Nov. 1, 2009, FrontRunner's base fare will decrease from $3 to $2 for travel to just one station. The incremental station fare will remain $.50 for each additional station. The maximum one-way fare on FrontRunner will go from $6 to $5 from Salt Lake to Pleasant View.

The Premium Express Monthly Pass of $162.00 will not decrease in price. It is valid on all UTA fixed-route buses and trains, including FrontRunner and express buses.

Group and Day Pass

The popular Group Pass has been extended and expanded to include FrontRunner, TRAX and bus. The pass is valid as a day pass for up to four people any time during regular service hours. Cost will be $12, effective Nov. 1.

The promotional Family Pass will be discontinued on Oct. 31.

The Premium Day Pass ($13.75 per person) will also be discontinued on Oct. 31.

Paratransit and Flex Route Services

Paratransit unlimited monthly passes will be discontinued Nov. 1. Riders may purchase a 10-punch pass for $25 or pay the regular $2.50 cash fare upon boarding. The new punch pass will be available to purchase in October. Existing 10- and 30-trip coupon books are no longer available for purchase. The 10-trip coupons will be accepted as fare through December 31, 2009.

In October customers riding flex routes may purchase a 10-punch pass to pay for route deviations. Cost is $10 or $1 per deviation. Flex routes include:

    •F94 - Sandy

    •F400/F401 - Tooele/Grantsville

    •F518 - Riverton

    •F546 - Draper

    •F638 - Brigham City
