Mariachi Zavala

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo to the beat of Mariachi Zavala, a family of Mariachi musicians who have performed at festivals and community events throughout the west for more than 15 years. Mariachi Zavala will perform at the Weber County Library Southwest Branch at 6 p.m. The library is located at 2039 W. 4000 South in Roy and is accessible via route 604. It is also four-block walk from route 640. Please note that service on route 604 may end before the event concludes.

Mariachi Sol de Jalisco with Ballet Folklorico de las Americas

Enjoy traditional Mexican songs, dance and costumes from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Gallivan Center. Ballet Folklorico is one of the longest-performing Latino dance groups in Utah and specializes in dances from Mexico and other regions in South and Central America. The event is part of the Excellence in the Community Concert Series and is accessible via Gallivan Plaza TRAX Station

Midvale Cinco de Mayo

Enjoy local music, dancing, a parade, children’s activities, authentic Mexican dishes, bingo, and an outdoor movie at Midvale City Park. The two-day celebration has been held in Midvale for 29 years and is considered one of the largest in the state. Festivities start at 6 p.m. on Friday and resume at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Midvale City Park is located at 7500 S. 450 West in Midvale and is accessible via route 525 and flex route F578. Please note that F578 runs Monday through Friday only.

Cinco de Mayo Festival

Telemundo Utah’s annual Cinco de Mayo festival features dancing, music, food, giveaways and more. It will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at West Valley Centennial Park. The park, located at 5415 W. 3100 South in West Valley City, is a short walk from route 35 and 35 MAX.
