Some of the best rodeo athletes in the world will be competing in Utah this week at that Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo. This year, the rodeo will be held at the all-new, state-of-the-art Days of ’47 Arena at the Utah State Fairpark. The best way to get to the event, which runs July 19 - 22, is by taking UTA. Just connect to the TRAX Green Line and hop off at Fairpark Station. In addition to the rodeo, there will be lots of other fun festivities for the whole family including a country music stage, a petting zoo, carnival rides and, of course, great food.

July 24 Service Information

On Monday, July 24, FrontRunner trains will operate on a Saturday service schedule, which means trains will depart hourly. Buses will also run on a Saturday schedule. TRAX and streetcar will run on a Sunday schedule. There will be no PC-SLC Connect service.

To help people get to Pioneer Day festivities in downtown Salt Lake City, FrontRunner will have an early start on Monday, July 24. The first northbound train will depart from Provo at 4:50 a.m. and the first southbound train will depart Ogden at 5:07 p.m. TRAX Green Line trains will start a half hour earlier from the North Temple Bridge Station to meet FrontRunner trains.

 

Potential TRAX Delays

The Days of ’47 Parade and the Deseret News Marathon will cross TRAX lines at several locations on Monday, July 24. Trains may stop a several locations for approximately a minute to let the parade and marathon runners pass. This may create delays on some trains of 5 to 10 minutes.
