Service to some TRAX Red Line stations will be suspended this weekend, Saturday, Jan. 19, and Sunday, Jan. 20. A bus bridge will transport riders between Historic Gardner, Bingham Junction and Fashion Place West stations. The closure is not expected to impact other lines or stations.

FAQ

How will the bus bridge work?

Northbound Red Line riders should exit the train at Historic Gardner Station and transfer to a bus as directed by UTA employees. The bus will take them to Fashion Place West Station where they can re-board the Red Line. The bus will also stop at Bingham Junction for passengers who need to start or end their trip there.

Southbound Red Line riders should exit the train at Fashion Place West, transfer to the bus and exit at Historic Gardner Station where they can re-board the Red Line. The bus will also stop at Bingham Junction for passengers who need to start or end their trip there.

Will this delay my trip?

We hope to keep buses running on approximately the same schedule as trains, but please allow extra time to make connections.

How will I know where to catch the bus?

We will have signs and UTA employees at each station to help you find the appropriate bus. If you need additional help, contact us on Twitter at @RideUTA

Why is Red Line service being suspended?

Red Line service in this area is suspended to allow for construction on a Midvale rail bridge that spans 7200 South near 700 West. The work is part of a Utah Department of Transportation project to widen 7200 South.

Additional closures will be needed to complete construction. In addition to Jan. 19 and 20, service to some stations will be suspended on Jan. 26-27, Feb. 16-17, March 2-3, March 23-24, Aug. 10-11 and Aug. 17-18. Please note that these dates are subject to change.

What if I need help?

UTA employees will be at all three stations to help riders and assist with bus bridge connections. If you have questions or concerns, contact us on Facebook or Twitter or call 801-RIDE-UTA (743-3882).
