This Wednesday, October 07, the University of Utah will be hosting the vice presidential debates.

Some of the bus routes and TRAX servicing the university will be affected by this special event. Expect detours and delays beginning Monday and continuing through the rest of the week. See below for more information about these detours.

Bus

Route 2 will not service the northbound and southbound stops at U President's Circle. Regular stops will be available at U Kennecott Building and 200 S/1300 E.

Route 3
will use 1300 E between South Temple and 400 S in both directions. The stops on University St will not be serviced. Regular stops will be available at Stadium Station, Virginia St/2nd Ave (northbound), and Virginia St/South Temple (southbound).

Route 6
will use Wolcott St between South Temple and 100 S in both directions. The stops on University St will not be serviced. Regular stops will be available at 1300 E South Temple and U Kennecott Building.

Route 11
will use Wolcott St between South Temple and 100 S in both directions. The stops on University St will not be serviced. Regular stops will be available at U Kennecott Building, Virginia St/2nd Ave (northbound), and Virginia St/South Temple (southbound).

Route 220
will use 1300 E between 400 S and 200 S in both directions. No stops will be serviced on University St. Regular stops will be available at 200 S/1300 E, 401 S 1300 E (northbound), and 544 S 1300 E (southbound.)

Route 902
will use 3rd Ave between Wolcott St and Virginia St in both directions. No stops will be missed.

All of these detours on subject to change but should be in effect through October 11.

 

TRAX

The TRAX Red Line serving the university will have 10-15 minute delays due to the event. The TRAX team is aiming to provide steady service but circumstances can change quickly and safety is our number one priority. Tune into Twitter for updates or sign up for TRAX Red Line Service Alerts.
