As work continues on the 700 South light rail tracks, TRAX trains will be rerouted to different locations. This is being done to minimize the need for riders to transfer trains around the downtown construction area July 7 through 9. Some transfers still will be necessary, however. Additionally, some delays should be expected.

We really appreciate you riding with us and that is one reason why Utah Transit Authority works hard to maintain its system with the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness. With more than 45 million boardings each year there definitely is some wear and tear. It is time to replace some of the rails in the 700 South area. Unfortunately this can impact our service levels and cause considerable inconvenience for our riders. We guarantee we take every service interruption very seriously and continue to work mightily to minimize and mitigate any delays.

UTA personnel will be at many TRAX platforms to provide you on-the-spot assistance. You also may want to explore using bus routes and on Saturday FrontRunner service.
We sincerely are sorry for any trouble this will cause. We can assure we will complete the project as quickly as is safely possible and we thank you in advance for your cooperation and your patience.
