Long Range Plan
The Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC) is the metropolitan planning organization for Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, Tooele and Morgan counties. One of the roles of WFRC is to establish 30-year transportation plans for both transit and roads. WFRC approves and prioritizes the region’s transit projects and partners with UTA to perform the necessary studies required for major capital endeavors (rail lines, bus rapid transit projects, etc.)
WFRC’s proposed 30-year transportation plan is currently being evaluated by local elected officials and is pending approval by the council’s governing body. For more information on the proposed plan, please visit the WFRC website at www.wfrc.org.
