The Sugar House Streetcar is a joint project between UTA, Salt Lake City and South Salt Lake. Project construction began in April 2012 and the line is anticipated to be open in late 2013. Opening day ridership on the 2-mile line is projected to be approximately 3,000 daily riders.

UTA is committed to providing the public with access and information during project construction. If you are interested in being on the project mailing list, click here. If you have a construction-related question and would like to speak with a project representative, please call our construction hotline at 801-236-4798.

Salt Lake City and South Salt Lake are also currently conducting a visioning project for the streetcar corridor and exploring what could come in later phases of streetcar. For more information on the visioning project, visit www.shstreetcar.com.
