Kaysville City and UTA to Open New Trail with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

What:
Kaysville City and Utah Transit Authority will open a new trail for pedestrians and bicyclists with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 12. The trail runs along a stretch of the UTA-owned former Denver and Rio Grande Western railway in Kaysville.

When:
Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.

Where:
Webb Ln. and Flint St., Kaysville
(Take I-15 exit 328 and go west on 200 North to Flint St. Go south on Flint for approximately 1/2 mile to Webb Lane.)

The new Kaysville trail is part of a network of trails being built by UTA and cities in Davis and Weber counties on the former Denver and Rio Grande Western railway. The new trail system will extend more than 23 miles from West Bountiful to West Haven when complete. The trail also integrates with the Legacy Parkway Trail; once connected to the Jordan River Parkway in Salt Lake County, it will provide nearly 70 miles of interconnected trails.
