UTA is in the process of testing new bus models for use in Davis and Weber counties. You can visit us tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 28, in Kaysville and Ogden to see these vehicles and share your feedback.

We’ll have two buses on display, a 35-foot Gillig trolley replica that seats 32 passengers and a 29-foot Gillig bus that seats 26 passengers. If purchased, the 35-foot bus would likely retain its unique trolley design and the 29-foot bus would use UTA branding and look much like our current Gilig bus models.

UTA is looking at ways to best meet ridership needs as we prepare to expand bus service in Davis and Weber counties, UTA Regional General Manager Eddy Cumins said. This includes exploring the use of smaller buses that would meet rider demand while saving fuel and emissions.
