Mid-Jordan Light Rail TRAX Construction Update*

Sugar Factory Area 

Activity: Grading activities and preparation for sound wall construction on the north side of 3200 West to 2700 West will begin in the first week of July and last approximately 3 weeks. Utility work will begin July 14 and last approximately 2 weeks.

Traffic Impacts: Flagging operations at 3200 West will be used as necessary.

Old Bingham Area

Activity: Utility work will continue through the month of July.

Traffic Impacts: Shoulder work with possible lane restrictions.

Gardner Village Area

Activity: Construction on retaining walls at 7800 South near Gardner Village began on June 30th and will continue for approximately 2 months.

Traffic Impacts: There will be a designated truck turning lane on the north side of 7800 South accessing the Gardner Village property. Flagging operations will be in place as trucks enter and exit the roadway and the right lane of eastbound 7800 South will be closed.

Activity: Demolition of trees/electrical utilities will begin July 14th and continue through July.

Traffic Impacts: In Gardner Village parking lot only.

Activity: Gas line relocation will take place July 14-18.

Traffic Impacts: In Gardner Village parking lot only.

Activity: Installation of pile & panel will take place July 16 – July 18.

Traffic Impacts: Across from Gardner Village; the right lane of 7800 South eastbound will be closed.

Activity: Grading and utility work will begin July 16.

Traffic Impacts: Shoulder closures with possible lane restrictions.

Cottonwood Area

Activity: Utility work will begin in the Cottonwood Street area on July 1 and continue through July.

Traffic Impacts: Possible lane restrictions.

Daybreak Area

Activity: There are currently no updates for the Daybreak area. More details will follow.
