UTA Electronic Fare Enforcement Rules

All patrons are required to Tap On and Tap Off when riding UTA services. A demonstrated pattern for failure to tap off will result in an automatic deactivation of the card.

The only exception to the Tap Off requirement is when a patron transfers from a TRAX vehicle to another TRAX vehicle. Other than TRAX-to-TRAX transfers, patrons are always required to Tap Off when alighting a vehicle.

Third party institutions will be responsible for reactivating these cards as needed. Patrons that call UTA customer support seeking to have their cards reactivated will be directed to contact the issuing institution for assistance.
