Rider and Pedestrian Safety

Image of Sign - Look Both Ways Before CrossingThanks for riding TRAX! The Utah Transit Authority would like you to be safe as you ride the train. Follow these simple tips to help ensure safety around TRAX.

Rule #1 – Always use the crosswalks! Never jaywalk.

Rule #2 – Always look both directions before crossing. Trains can come from either direction.

Rule #4 – Never run or jump across the tracks to catch an approaching train.

Rule #5 – Be alert, and always expect a train!

Motorist Safety

Be Alert Around TRAX! The Utah Transity Authority would like to share the road safely with TRAX and motorists. Follow these simple tips to ensure everyone's safety driving around TRAX.

Rule #1 – Turn left across the tracks only at designated intersections and only on a green arrow.

Rule #3 – Don't race the train or try to beat it through a crossing.

Rule #4 – Watch for approaching trains before pulling out of a parking stall or merging with traffic.

Rule #5 – Look out for pedestrians near light rail trains and stations
