Deciding what to do this Friday?  Well, hop on UTA and hit the Gallery Stroll.  Salt Lake City has a cool tradition of holding a monthly Gallery Stroll where local galleries, contemporary art spaces and other venues stay open until 9 p.m. so you can see and buy great art. 

Gallery Stroll is year-round.  As the holiday season approaches, many galleries feature group shows from artists of diverse disciplines including painting, pottery, photography, sculpture and jewelry. 

For the Gallery Stroll this Friday, there are few art galleries to note on or near 200 South (easily accessed by the Route 2 bus, every 15 minutes until 8:30 p.m.):

  • Art Access–230 S. 500 W.  Hosting its annual holiday show in conjuction with Tanner Frames and Utah Arts Festival (gallery UAF) featuring work from 42 artists.
  • Phillips Gallery–444 E. 200 S. Annual Holiday Group Show on all three Floors
  • Anthony’s Fine Art and Antiques–401 E. 200 S.  Featuring Vivid Landscape: The Paintings of Kent Wallis.  Meet one of Utah’s favorite artists in person and view his new works.
