Did you know that the largest public outdoor event in the state can be reached by bus and TRAX? Each year, more than 80,000 people attend the Utah Arts Festival. Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City at Library and Washington squares, the event is just steps away from several UTA routes.

The Utah Arts Festival opened this Thursday and will run until Sunday, June 23. Visitors can view artwork from more than 160 of painters, photographers and sculptors and sample food from 18 local vendors. If you’re headed to the festival this year, don’t miss performances by Bandaloop, a group of dancers that will perform along the façade of the Salt Lake Library while suspended from ropes. The festival also features Fear No Films, a collection of short films from around the world presented in the library auditorium. Families can also visit the Art Yard, where children can make pieces of art to take home and display while snacking on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
