Today, UTA received the 2015 Green Business Award from Utah Business magazine. This award recognizes local organizations, companies and individuals that are working toward greater environmental sustainability.

UTA strives to improve air quality along the Wasatch Front by adopting eco-friendly technology and providing residents with sustainable ways to travel to work, school and community events. In 2013 alone, we helped take 120,000 car trips off the roads each day. We are also expanding our fleet of clean, cost-efficient compressed natural gas and hybrid electric buses, and we’re making it easier for residents to leave their cars at home and opt for the bus or train by increasing service frequency and coverage. We added service on 15 bus routes this year and plans to continue improving bus, rail and paratransit service throughout 2016.

UTA is pleased to be recognized as one of Utah’s green leaders. Click here to learn more about how riding UTA can help the environment.
