Catch the bus on 3900 South? You may notice something new. UTA recently improved 12 stops between 1300 East and the Meadowbrook TRAX Station to improve rider comfort and ADA accessibility.

Cement pads were added to make it easier for riders, especially those using walkers or wheelchairs, to cross from the sidewalk to the curb. Bus shelters and benches were added at stops where space allowed.

The project was completed using UTA funds and a Community Development Block Grant. UTA Senior Service Planner Joseph Alsop said UTA planners selected this corridor for improvement primarily due to its heavy ridership and the fact that it provides connections between TRAX and multiple bus routes.

UTA planners also use rider feedback to determine where to make bus stop improvements and route changes. If you have a suggestion, please contact us here.
