We’re excited to announce our first round of winners in the student iPad giveaway. If you didn’t receive an iPad this month, don’t worry. Students from select universities and colleges who make at least 10 round trips on UTA using their student passes will be automatically entered into the giveaway. Names will be drawn every month until April 2014.

The giveaway is designed to encourage students to opt for public transit when commuting to campus. Riding UTA’s buses and trains to school allows students to save money, help the environment and avoid traffic and crowded campus parking lots. You can find more information about our student pass program here.

Danielle Reschke was our October winner from Brigham Young University. The dietetics and nutrition student said that UTA helps her make ends meet on a limited student budget.

“I don’t have enough money to buy a car, insurance, and gas, and the bus takes me where I need to go without a car. It also runs from early in the morning to late at night, so no matter how late I’m on campus, I know that I’ll be able to get home,” Reschke said.
