Media Ride Along Interview Opportunity with Utah Transit Authoritys New TRAX Ambassadors

WHAT: UTA has new rider support personnel on the TRAX Blue Line. The blue-vested TRAX Ambassadors will provide rider information, support a safe environment, and connect passengers to community resources, particularly those facing homelessness or other needs. TRAX Ambassadors is a proactive initiative to offer direct support to UTA's diverse ridership and foster a welcoming and positive environment for all riders. The program is the newest of a collection of UTA rider support resources that underscore a commitment to safety, respect, and helpful rider information.

BACKGROUND:

The TRAX Ambassador Team, composed of 8-10 staff members, has undergone comprehensive training to effectively engage with various communities and navigate diverse circumstances encountered by riders. Equipped with extensive knowledge of customer resources and services, TRAX Ambassadors will be stationed on the TRAX Blue Line during morning and evening hours, Monday through Friday.

The TRAX Ambassador Program will not only assist passengers with their immediate transit needs, but also connect them to additional resources such as shelter, food, justice services, and more.
