UTA is now offering a variety of new ways for the community to get involved with us, learn more about what Utah Transit Authority does, and experience how riding transit can become part of their lives. These opportunities are all free and open to the public, and can now be found on our website at rideuta.com/community.
We Come to You
On our Community Relations page you can schedule a UTA representative to come to your community group or school and provide a 30-45 minute presentation about the following:
• How to Ride
• Safety on UTA
• Code of Conduct
• Why We Ride
We welcome presentation requests from teachers, school administrators or representatives at a variety of community organizations. We just ask that a minimum of 45 people attend. Of course, we’re glad to present to more, including the entire school!
If you have a smaller group that would benefit from the presentation, please feel free to fill out the form and we will get in touch with you to talk about how we can best meet your group’s needs.
We have been honing our presentation to be entertaining and educational. Participants will learn about how transit can be a positive tool in their lives, allowing them to get around the community while improving our air quality.
Come to Us
If you have ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at UTA, now is your chance to find out! Tours of UTA FrontRunner, bus, and TRAX facilities are now available to the public on Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The tours last around two hours and include an introduction to UTA, a hiring overview given by the UTA Human Resources team, a presentation by a current UTA operator, and an in-depth tour of the facility. If you’re interested, complete the form under Education Tours.
Out and About
There is so much going on in our community! On our Community Events page, you can see a list of upcoming events that are easily accessible by UTA. You can also see events UTA is participating in, such as local community festivals, parades and activities.
If you would like UTA to participate in your community event, submit a request online. We will send representatives to talk about UTA, provide service and safety information and answer questions.
We’re here. Reach out!
If you are interested in any of these opportunities or have a question on how you can get more involved with UTA, please submit your online request or contact us at UTAEvents@rideuta.com.
